How we use the details you send when asking about a website or business email. Updated 12 October 2026.

We do not use your form answers to subscribe you to marketing. We do not sell your details.
We collect the name, business name, email, optional phone, town, existing website address and project details you provide. The form also records a short-lived security token and limited technical information needed to prevent duplicate or abusive submissions.
We use this information to answer your enquiry, assess what you need, prepare a quote and, if you become a customer, arrange and deliver the agreed work. We process an initial enquiry on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to a request you made. A later client project may also involve contractual steps.
Your enquiry is stored in Steve's LabWorks support desk, hosted with his website provider. Steve and relevant team members can see it. Lindsey Legg of Stay Connected Media may see the details when she helps assess or deliver your project. Hosting, email and IT providers process the data needed to operate the service. If you choose the WhatsApp option, you decide whether to send the suggested message through WhatsApp; its own privacy terms then apply.
If no work goes ahead, we review the enquiry after 12 months and remove it when it is no longer needed. If work goes ahead, we keep the necessary project and financial records for the period required to deliver the service and meet legal obligations. You can ask about the information we still hold.
You may ask to see or correct your personal information, and in some circumstances ask us to delete or restrict it or object to its use. Email info@theitguybournemouth.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
